The 39th Chevron City to Surf for Activ took place in Perth on 25 August 2013. This year, a record 48,000 participants joined in the event.
This year, for the first time, our City to Surf went regional. It kicked off in Karratha on 21 July with 476 participants. On 28 July, Geraldton was a raging success with 475 participants plus some 100 spectators. Albany followed with 480 participants at Centennial Oval on 4 August. To round out the regional series, the sun shone for the biggest inaugural regional event in Busselton on 11 August with close to 1100 participants and many people cheering them on.
Our new Activ mascots, Amy and Alfie, were much loved by young and old and helped create a positive community spirit while raising awareness about Activ. There were many fundraising effots in the lead up to race day and we appreciate the support of our fundraisers and volunteers.
Your participation and support help us to enable people with disabilities and their families to enjoy a better life. Your support goes towards providing much needed employment support, housing, respite, transport, holidays and much more.
