Our permanent group homes housing option provide a quality and caring environment for residents. Living in a group home, with our skilled and dedicated staff, residents are encouraged to be involved in all aspects of domestic home-life, including, cooking, cleaning, gardening and entertaining.
Group homes, each accommodating five or six residents, are located throughout the State. Activ adheres to the State Disability Standards for Accommodation and Community Services.
Funding for accommodation should be sought from the Disability Services Commission, through your Local Area Coordinator.
There are more than 40 permanent accommodation facilities covering the Perth metropolitan area and country centres such as Bunbury, Busselton, Albany, Esperance, Geraldton and Kellerberrin.
Permanent accommodation can provide:
- Facilities with up to 24 hour care for people with higher support needs; or
- Facilities that allow greater autonomy for people with a less severe intellectual disability, with lower levels of supervision, and training in basic independent living skills.
