Andrew Edwards - President
Andrew was appointed to the Board in October 2008 and elected as President in October 2011. A chartered accountant by background, Andrew Edwards is a professional company director whose career has included 25 years as a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers. His business experience has embraced a wide range of commercial activities, including mergers and acquisitions, business valuations and project reviews, as well as management and Board of Directors leadership roles. |

Tina Thomas - Deputy President
Tina was appointed to the Board in October 2006 and elected as Deputy President in October 2011. She has more than 20 years experience with Woodside Energy Ltd and is currently Senior Vice President, Corporate. Her business experience has been diverse including human resources, mergers and acquisitions, corporate affairs, environment and indigenous affairs. |

Stephanie Black
Stephanie was appointed to the Board in October 2008. Stephanie is the Executive Director, Office of the Director General in the Department of Finance. She has a commercial background and was previously Director Corporate Services, Department of State Development and Chief Executive Officer at United Credit Union. Stephanie is a Fellow of FINSIA and a Chartered Secretary of Australia. |

Leonie Walker
Leonie joined Activ in 1975. She has two adult sons with Intellectual Disability. Living on a farm in Wongan Hills, Leonie was active in establishing a hostel for special needs children. She now resides in Dunsborough with her husband and has a long association with support groups in the area. Leonie was elected as a Country elected member of the Board in October 2006. Leonie is an Honorary Life Governor and Trustee. |

Phillis Breheny
Phillis was elected as a Metropolitan elected member of the Board in October 2005. Phyllis is the mother of a young man who has Down Syndrome. She has been involved in many support groups for the past 24 years. In 2000, Phyllis was awarded Life Membership of the Down Syndrome Association of WA in recognition of her outstanding contribution. In the past five years she has been actively involved in advocating for changes to legislation surrounding the Special Disability Trust. |

Neil Guard
Neil was appointed to the Board in 2011. He joined the Drug and Alcohol Office as Executive Director in 2008. In this role his primary focus areas was health promotion and prevention, further developing the integrated drug and alcohol services, and working together with the sector and the community to address alcohol and drug related harm.
Throughout his career Neil has led significant achievements in health promotion, improving services for people with disabilities and change management. Neil also has considerable experience working within the corporate sector. |

Penelope Willems
Penelope was appointed to the Board in January 2011 and elected as a Metropolitan member in October 2011. Penelope is the guardian of her brother, Aaron who is currently located in Activ Accommodation and employed at Activ Embleton. She is eager to be involved in the new strategies which Activ is taking, particularly to engage more closely with people with disabilities. Her exposure as her brother's guardian to a variety of the services that Activ offers enable Penelope to offer input and feedback as to how these services can improve the lifestyle and quality of living for persons with disabilities and their families. |

Tony Vis - Chief Executive Officer
Tony was appointed Chief Executive Officer in October 2007. He previously served as President from 2001. Tony has extensive commercial experience and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a member of the State Committee of National Disability Services (WA), of Every Australian Counts Reference Group (WA) and of the Disability Services Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA). |
