Powerade Isotonic is designed to be in balance with your body’s fluids to give you fast hydration and energy when you need it most. It contains two essential electrolytes - Sodium and Potassium. Your body loses these salts in sweat and it is important they are replaced for proper hydration.

Powerade Isotonic provides carbohydrates (sucrose and maltodextrin) to provide the energy that muscles need when working out. Drinking sports drinks, such as Powerade Isotonic, before intense exercise helps to ensure that you begin in a well hydrated and well fuelled state; while in exercise of 60 minutes or longer, especially in the heat, there is good evidence supporting the use of a sports drink (such as Powerade Isotonic) over water due to both the electrolytes and the carbohydrate in the drink.

This year every participant that completes their event category will receive a FREE bottle of Powerade Isotonic! To learn more about the benefits of Powerade CLICK HERE.

2010 will see a significant upgrade in the clothing service on race day. This is a service that is provided to transport participant’s clothes from the start lines to the finish. Each participant will be issued a Coles bag and numbered sticker with your race pack (the sticker number matches your race bib).

Simply place your clothing sticker on your Coles bag and bring it along on race day. Once you’re ready to race you can remove any outer layers of clothing you do not wish to participate in and place them in your labelled bag. This bag can then be handed over to the designated Toll Clothing Service Truck at your start location.

Your clothes will be transported to the finish line ready for you to collect after you’ve taken the long way round!

At the end of this year’s Rebel Sport City to Surf for Activ keep an eye out for the Coles Marquee in the processing area. Coles will be offering participants free fruit at the finish following your impressive efforts to get to get there.

There are a host of activities taking place on City Beach Oval following the event. To find out where you can grab a FREE apple and vi

There are many theories relating to whether there are any benefits associated with stretching. Evidence clearly supports the notion that stretching will assist in your bodies performance, but only if it is conducted at the right time!

Channel Nine's Angela Tsun and Ben Cox from Activ train for the
City to Surf.

Team Activ represents the heart and soul of the Perth City to Surf. They are the owner and Partner Charity of the event, and in 2010 will be out on course supporting you every step of the way.

Team Activ, made up of Activ staff, and service recipients, will be at the Aid Station on Hay Street in Jolimont. Team Activ will be providing thirsty runners with much needed hydration as well as some inspiring encouragement. The Activ Cheer Squad will be at the same location, there for one reason only... to keep you going!

Activ ambassador Ben Cox will be leading the squad and providing participants with that extra kick when they need it most! Ben's invaluable contribution leading Team Activ is the focus of his fundraising efforts, raising money for Activ. Ben has said that his target of $5,000 is simply a down payment on all the support Activ have provided him over many years!

Last thursday, led by Ben, the Team Activ cheer squad were out in force for their first practice run. Prime Health ran a training session for Activ employees who will be taking part as participants in the City to Surf, and over 50 Activ service recipients were there to cheer them on through the activities.

We're sure that Team Activ will inspire you forward on race day. If you are interested in fundraising for Activ or would like to make a contribution to Ben Cox and his efforts, please
