HALF MARATHON


The 2009 Half Marathon, new to the event program in 2007, has been hugely successful in its first three years. Participation numbers in 2009 were an event record.

2009 Course – 21.1km The route took runners on a scenic loop of Kings Park before re-joining the traditional 12km route through Subiaco, Perry Lakes Reserve and on to City Beach.

2009 Intermediate cut off time Kings Park Exit, Fraser Avenue    10.5km   8.10am   1hr 40mins
2009 On Course - Aid Stations Water stations were located approximately every 2km along the course.

Powerade Isotonic was available at all aid stations on course.

Gu was available at aid stations located at approximately 2km, 10km and 14km marks on course (water & Powerade No Sugar was also available at these stations).
