Activ is thrilled to announce that it has been named as the new service provider for Noah’s Ark WA.
The Independent Living Centre WA (ILC) announced last October that it was unable to continue delivering the Noah’s Ark WA service for financial reasons.
Activ Chief Executive Officer Danielle Newport said that Activ is excited by the possibilities that it could explore with Noah’s Ark WA.
“We are looking forward to taking on this new and exciting program. For over 20 years, we have operated the Activ Library – which holds the largest collection of resources on intellectual disability and autism in the Southern Hemisphere. By combining with Noah’s Ark WA, we believe we can offer a state-of-the-art resource centre for Western Australians living with disability and their families.”
ILC Acting Chief Executive Officer Francine Snadden said we are delighted that the Noah’s Ark WA service will be continuing and congratulate Activ on being the successful applicant.
“Activ has a long history of providing personalised, individually tailored support to people with a disability and their families and Noah’s Ark WA will flourish under the organisation,” she said.
Activ is now working with ILC to transition the service.
Activ is planning to re-open the Noah’s Ark Toy Library from the Morley location in mid-March and will be in touch with members soon.
Any queries about the service should be directed to the Activ Library on 9387 0458 or email@example.com.
