Activ offers flexible short-term respite options to support children with disability and their families.
The Variety Pelican Centre in Bayswater hosts play dates for children living with disability twice a month on Saturdays. The play dates provide children aged 3 – 12 years old the opportunity to socialise in a supportive environment.
The Activ Library is the state’s largest disability library and has more than 8,000 items including books, DVDs, training materials and journals, with a strong focus on intellectual disability and autism.
For parents and families our Parent Portal is a good place to start when seeking disability related information. Information is categorised into syndromes and conditions, life events, special topics and has an area for parent and carer support with suggestions on support groups and organisations who can provide assistance.
