From the 1st July 2017, instead of the Disability Services Commission providing funding directly to Activ Transport Services, funding will be provided to the person with a disability, based on the reasonable and necessary services and supports outlined in their NDIS Individual Plan. As a result of these changes, Activ will no longer provide a transport service to people living with disability from the 1st July 2017.
Activ is working with everyone currently using our transport service to help them find alternative ways to get to work. We are hosting workshops to bring together our customers and their family members so they can meet, share ideas and work together to find solutions.
Activ will be running a second round of transport workshops from the 18th April 2017. For more information on these workshops, click here.

Activ Transport in the South West (Bunbury)
DSC has advised that they will be providing Activ with a temporary funding grant for the Bunbury region. This grant will cover the cost of the Activ Bunbury bus service for an additional 12 months from the 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. This grant will provide our supported employees at Bunbury Business Services with additional time to find transport solutions, which is increasingly difficult in regional areas.
Although this grant will fund transport in the Bunbury region for another year, it is not a solution. Our Bunbury customers, just like all of our customers, will need to find alternative ways to get to work and we are committed to working with all our customers to find transport solutions.
Further information on this grant will be provided to our customers and family members in follow up communication.
