Government Funding

Activ Pathways receives funding from the Federal Government and the Western Australian Government to deliver training to students. Each funding option has different eligibility criteria. For more information, see the links to the official funding webpages below.

Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as a resource fee.

Priority Industry Training funded programs (PIT)
These programs are funded by the State Government and equip students to take up jobs in skilled occupations that are in high demand across Western Australia. The Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is on the Priority Industry Skills list.

Who: Support workers and new entrants into the disability industry, as well as experienced workers wanting to acquire new skills and knowledge

Qualification:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) CHC33015

Participation Funding 
Participation funding offers additional support in areas such as mentoring and assistance with language and literacy to the following student groups.

Who: People with a disability and job seekers

Qualifications: 

  • Certificate I in Leadership
  • Certificate I in Wider Opportunities for Work
  • Certificate I in Business
  • Certificate I in Manufacturing
  • Certificate I in AgriFood Operations
  • Certificate II in Business
  • Certificate II in Horticulture

Traineeship funding
 
This combines work with structured training and enables eligible students to earn an income while they are learning. Activ Pathways offers traineeships in:

School Based Trainee Program (SBT)

This funding combines work with structured training and enables eligible students to earn an income while they are learning. Activ Pathways offers SBT traineeships in:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support

As most students are under the age of 18 years, an Activ trainer/supervisor oversees the SBT program and has constant communication with students and parents. 

Activ Pathways arrange all student work placements at a variety of Activ sites both in the Metropolitan and Bunbury areas.
