Professional Development

Activ Pathways offers a range of non-accredited programs to improve the knowledge and skills of workers within the sector. 

A Better Way
This program has been designed for people working with, or interested in working with, people with disability in the community or residential facilities or in supported employment. Students will be equipped with skills, knowledge and understanding on how to provide positive behaviour support.

Diabetes Awareness Training
This is a non-clinical training session with the emphasis on information awareness training. It prepares students to work in the community sector as direct care staff.

Epilepsy Awareness Training
This is a non-clinical training session with the emphasis on information awareness training. It prepares students to work in the community sector as direct care staff.

Manual Tasks Training
This course includes theory and practical activities to develop knowledge and skills in manual tasks. It is aimed at providing you with the knowledge to effectively identify hazards, and assess and control risks arising from manual tasks.

Person Centred Approach
This program has been designed for people working with, or interested in working with, people with disability in the community or residential facilities or in supported employment. Students will be equipped with skills, knowledge and understanding on how to participate in person centred planning.

Professional Boundaries
This program has been designed for people working with, or interested in working with, people with disability in the community or residential facilities or in supported employment. Students will be equipped with skills, knowledge and understanding on how to maintain professional boundaries.
