Activ’s Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) offering officially opened in Bunbury by Minister for Disability Services

Activ is excited to announce that our Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) offering was officially opened in Bunbury on 6 October 2022, by the Hon. Don Punch MLA, Minister for Disability Services. The ribbon cutting ceremony was attended by the Minister, a number of local media outlets, distinguished guests, as well as some of Activ’s customers who are set to move into their new homes shortly.

Located on Prosser Street, the five homes are a joint project between Activ Foundation, Community Housing Ltd and WAI Group and have been built by Western Australian company Celtic Builders.

The spacious and beautifully styled homes are step-free for easy access, have power to the doors and windows for automated opening and closing, boast slip-resistant floors, and the amenities are accessible in both seated or standing positions.

Activ CEO Michael Heath  is excited about the benefits that SDA will provide our customers.

“At Activ, we are fully committed to supporting our regional customers to live more independently, and the development of Prosser Point Living supports that commitment,” said Michael.

“We feel very lucky to be opening yet another development in partnership with WAI and CHL, and we are really excited to see our customers experience all the benefits that SDA can provide as they progress in their journeys to greater independence.”

NDIS participants can test their eligibility for SDA and work to have this funding included in their NDIS plans. To find out more about Activ’s accommodation options and to discuss SDA eligibility, contact our Customer Engagement team via email at hello@activ.asn.au or on 08 9387 0555.
