Following the release of the official WA Government directions regarding the mask mandate in disability care settings, it is now only a requirement for masks to be worn in Activ’s accommodation and short-term accommodation homes in the Perth and Peel regions.
This mask mandate is indefinite. If circumstances change, we will communicate changes to you as soon as possible.
As always, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff.
Mask mandate in the Perth metro and Peel regions
To comply with the current guidelines from the WA Government, we have made the following decisions:
- All Activ staff are required to wear Activ provided masks when working at or visiting any Activ accommodation site
- Activ customers are encouraged to wear masks at Activ’s accommodation sites
- All visitors to Activ accommodation sites must wear masks
These changes will last for the duration of the indefinite mask mandate.
People travelling to other regions from the Perth and Peel regions
Anyone who has been in the Perth and Peel regions since 16 December and has entered another regional area is also required to adhere to the mask mandate when attending an Activ accommodation site, for 14 days after leaving the Perth and Peel regions.
COVID-19 testing
If you have been at any of these locations at the dates and times specified, you must follow the health advice for that location.
