Course Content

Includes 6 units of competency (2 core and 4 electives) covering:

  • Getting ready for work (Work Health & Safety, Workplace Conduct, Horticulture industry work conditions)
  • Learn about maintaining garden areas (cleaning up after gardening work, learn to look after the environment)
  • Operate basic gardening machinery (preparation for use, safety checks, maintenance, storage)
  • Learn to look after and maintain lawns (turf tips, types of turf, laying and maintaining turf)
