Activ accommodation houses receive COVID-19 vaccine

On Tuesday 16 March, a group of Activ customers and staff, including Activ’s CEO Danielle Newport, received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Our customers and staff at two of Activ’s accommodation sites were excited to take part in this important step to ensure that our community remains safe and free of COVID-19.

Activ is looking forward to the COVID-19 vaccine being rolled out across more of our sites, and we will continue to communicate with our customers and staff, when we are contacted by the Department of Health notifying us of this opportunity.

Activ’s CEO, Danielle Newport, also received her first dose of the vaccine today, and encourages staff and customers to feel confident in getting vaccinated against COVID-19.

The Australian Government has included residential disability accommodation workers and residents in Phase 1A of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, making them among the first people in Australia to receive a COVID-19 vaccine since the rollout commenced in late February.

Our customers who receive their vaccine are encouraged to email health@activ.asn.au and notify us. This will help us to understand who has been vaccinated in the case of future outbreaks so we can continue to safely provide services.
