Activ recognises graduates at Pathways graduation ceremonies

Read in Easy English

Throughout the past few weeks, Activ has celebrated the achievements of hundreds of Activ Pathways graduates across two ceremonies in Perth, and one in Bunbury.

Due to COVID-19, last year’s ceremony was unfortunately cancelled, so this year’s celebrations recognised both 2020 and 2021’s graduates.

As always, our graduates came from a range of backgrounds. The ceremonies celebrated Activ customers, who have completed qualifications as part of their journey to greater independence, as well as Activ staff and staff from other organisations in the disability sector, who completed training to expand upon their skill set in supporting people living with disability.

Activ was grateful to welcome several VIP guests across the three ceremonies, including the newly appointed State Minister for Disability Services, The Hon Don Punch MLA, at Bunbury’s celebration. Guests and graduates also enjoyed a spectacular performance by the performing arts group from Activ’s Beaconsfield community hub.

Since 2019’s graduation ceremony, 971 certificates were completed by Activ Pathways students, across 10 qualifications. The Activ Pathways team have been kept busy with the introduction of several new courses, including a Cert II in General Education, a Cert I in Manufacturing with a focus on textiles, and a COVID-19 skill set course, to equip people working in the disability sector with the skills and knowledge they need to safely carry out their roles.

Activ extends congratulations to every graduate who was recognised this month – all graduates should be extremely proud of their commitment to learning and achieving their goals. Activ also congratulates the Activ Pathways team, for yet again organising three incredible events to celebrate our students’ achievements, who now join the 5000 graduates we have seen since Activ Pathways was established.
