Activ would like to congratulate Adam Grant on winning the Buyability ‘Above and Beyond’ Award for Western Australia.
The ‘Above and Beyond’ Awards celebrate the achievements of people with disability in their workplaces. There were over 250 nominations for the 2018 awards from across the country.
Adam, an Information Communication Technology (ICT) Officer, has worked for Activ for 19 years. He began at Activ’s Osborne Park Business Services where he detailed cars and worked his way to head office where he has worked for the last eight years. Having completed a Cert III in Digital Media and Information Technology and a Cert IV in Information Technology and Networking, Adam has become one of Activ’s most capable ICT Officers.
Adam said that receiving the award has inspired him to continue pursuing his goals.
“I was surprised to even be nominated, but it’s a huge honour to win the award. It has really encouraged me to strive higher and higher.
“I try to approach my work by being engaging and responding as quickly as I can. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, I believe in taking my time to make sure I do a good job and help out my colleagues and customers properly,” said Adam.
In the future, Adam aspires to make movies. He has his own production company – Infotech Studios – and his work in ICT helps him build his skills to achieve this dream. He is currently working on a screenplay.
