The WA Government has announced updated COVID-safe interim restrictions for the Perth and Peel regions, starting 12.01am Saturday 8 May and ending at 12:01am Saturday 15 May.
If circumstances change and further restrictions are announced by the WA Government, we will communicate changes to you as soon as possible.
As always, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff.
Please read below how these interim restrictions will affect Activ’s services in the Perth and Peel regions.
Accommodation services
Accommodation services will continue to remain open with the following restrictions in place:
- Staff will continue to wear masks at all times on site. Customers are encouraged to do so as well.
- Visits to accommodation houses are allowed, with a limit of four visitors per customer per day. Masks, temperature checks and completion of the Activ Health Survey are mandatory for visitors.
- Any indoor private gatherings will be capped at 100 people.
- Transport of customers in vehicles is permitted, with staff required to wear a mask. Customers are not required to wear masks, provided they all live in the same household.
Short-term accommodation (STA) services
STA will continue to take bookings. All staff will be wearing masks.
Community services
1:1 community supports and group community services will continue to operate.
From Saturday 8 May, the following restrictions apply at Activ’s community hubs:
- Masks are no longer mandatory at Activ’s community hubs.
- Social distancing and good hygiene practices will remain in place.
- Transport of customers in vehicles is permitted, with staff required to wear a mask. Customers are not required to wear masks, provided they all live in the same household.
- Staff and customers are required to use the SafeWA app or attendance sheet when attending a community hub.
The following restrictions apply to both staff and customers in group or 1:1 community services, outside an Activ community hub:
- Masks are only required to be worn on public transport and at events with more than 1,000 people. If you have an exemption, or do not wish to wear a mask, you will need to speak to us to discuss an alternative arrangement.
- Transport of customers in vehicles is permitted, with staff required to wear a mask. Customers are not required to wear masks, provided they all live in the same household.
- If a customer receives drop-in support, the customer can decide if they would like their support worker to wear a mask in their home. Staff will check this before arriving.
Employment services
Employment services will continue to operate.
From Saturday 8 May, the following restrictions will continue to apply:
- Masks are no longer mandatory for staff or customers.
- Social distancing and good hygiene practices will remain in place.
- Transport of customers in vehicles is permitted, with staff required to wear a mask. Customers are not required to wear masks, provided they all live in the same household.
- Staff and supported employees are required to use the SafeWA app or attendance sheet when attending an employment site.
Activ services outside of the Perth and Peel regions
All of our services outside the Perth and Peel regions will continue as normal.
