Our Strategy

Proven pathways to independence for people with intellectual disability.

People with intellectual disability are not currently given the same opportunities for independence as others.

For example, did you know?

  • Only 48% of working age people with disability are employed compared to 79% of people without disability.
  • People with disability are 43% less likely to have a mortgage and be on the path to home ownership.

Every Australian has the right to live an independent life.

We believe independence is the freedom to make choices about your own life, and taking responsibility for those decisions. Independence does not mean isolation from support – it includes the choice of whether to accept or refuse help.

We have developed this strategy in consultation with some of our customers and their families. They told us the support they needed most was to find a place to live and a place to work. We know these are two key areas that people think about when looking to the future.

If you would like to learn more about finding a place to live or work, get in touch with us today and take control of your independence.

We look forward to speaking with you.
