Graduation for Entry to Care Roles

In late 2023, Activ Pathways held a graduation ceremony for the latest cohort of students who completed the Entry to Care Roles skill set.

The skill set is part of Activ’s Pathway to Employment program providing an opportunity for individuals seeking to enter the rapidly growing care industry. This particular group included a diverse mix of 12 migrant students from MSC Cannington and two students from Essential Personnel (Disability Employment Service).

Activ Pathways Business Development Manager Jacqui Jones attended the graduation was impressed by the students’ enthusiasm and the results of a cross-sector collaboration with Multicultural Services Centre (MSC).

“The group’s enthusiasm and positive energy were contagious, and we are excited to see them succeed in their chosen careers.”

“This program was a great demonstration of Activ Pathways’ commitment to providing opportunities for people wanting to enter the care industry, and Activ are proud to partner with the MSC to provide this program.”

On the final day of the program, students were asked to share their experiences and reflect on their learning journey. Their feedback was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the program’s effectiveness in equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the care industry.

Ms Jones congratulated the Entry to Care Roles program graduates, saying the Activ Pathways team was proud to support them on their training journey and looked forward to seeing them achieve great successes in the care industry.

Continuing the Learning Journey

In addition to receiving their certificates, Graduates were offered the opportunity to continue their education with the CHC33021 Certificate III Individual Support (Disability) program for Job Seekers. This condensed program runs for six months with two days of training per week, plus 120hrs of work placement. Graduates of the Entry to Care Skill Set receive two credit transfers, reducing the program duration and workload.
