Activ is one of the major providers of disability accommodation in WA. Fully registered under the NDIS, we have been supporting people in our homes and theirs for many years.
Achieving and maintaining a level of independence in your own home is a key focus for many people with disability. Activ provides shared and independent living options that support everyday living while also supporting independence. We currently offer shared living options across the state, supporting over 300 people with disability to live independently in more than 70 homes.
As a new customer to Activ, we will support you to find the right living option. Great care is taken to meet your needs with respect to comfort, compatibility, family support, access to your community and employment services. As a customer, you will have access to trained staff 24 hours a day and live in homes which are designed to blend into the community.
As your safety and well-being are our top priorities, we ensure that our staff are provided with ongoing training and have a police clearance. Many of our staff hold relevant disability qualifications in addition to first aid, medication and social training.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
If you have a disability, obtaining suitable accommodation that meets your needs can be challenging. In order to address a lack of accessible housing options for people with disability, the NDIS has created a funding stream called Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
John moved into an Activ home after the loss of his parents. John enjoys living in an environment where he can be independent, he likes to catch public transport and visit the shopping centre by himself, or out for a coffee and cake with his housemates.
Why not ask Aeron about life with Activ? Aeron loves to bake, to go bowling and to paint. Aeron lives in an Activ shared supported home and describes her housemates as her ‘second family’. What Aeron loves most about the home support is the freedom to be herself.
